Day 6 - Friday, October 1 - Sedona, Arizona

Today had been planned for Sedona all along, for a little day hiking and also a trip to the Oak Creek Brewery for some brew and food. After some breakfast in Flagstaff we headed down AZ-89A through Oak Creek Canyon and down to Sedona.

We parked at the Little Horse trailhead on the south side of Sedona and started out on the Bell Rock Trail. We had wonderful views of Bell Rock, Courthouse Butte, Cathedral Rock, Two Sisters, as well as many other red rock features. From the Bell Rock Trail we switched to the Bail Trail and then to the Llama Trail and finally to the Little Horse Trail which took us back to the Bell Rock Trail and the parking area. The hike was about 3.5 miles in all and took us about 2 hours. It was a beautiful day for a hike with lots of blue sky and just a few clouds.

After the hike we headed over to the Oak Creek Brewery at the Tlaquepaque for some lunch and brew. After lunch we went back up into the more touristy section of Sedona so that Michael could finish his souvenir shopping.
